MARRIAGE AND FAMILY WEEK

Bishop Michael Kennedy has designated this week as Marriage and Family Week for the Armidale Diocese. The week includes the celebration of the feast of Saints Joachim and Anne on Friday 26th July. The theme for Marriage and Family Week is ‘The Family: School of Virtue’. “The goal of a virtuous life is to become like God.”- St Gregory of Nyssa. Throughout the week staff and students will have the opportunity to explore our Catholic understanding of what we mean by ‘virtue’ and how the family is a school of virtue and understand its relevance in our contemporary society.

GRANDPARENTS DAY

Tomorrow - Friday, 26 July 2019

One of the happiest and biggest days on our school calendar! Grandparents Day will be celebrated tomorrow Friday 26th July. We invite all of our Nans, Pops, Grans, Grandpas and special friends to come along and join us on this day where we have the opportunity to celebrate and give thanks for these special people in our lives.

Beginning at 11am in the School Auditorium followed by a Sausage Sizzle and games on the oval. Special performances by Kinder, Year 4, and Year 6 students plus our School Band. Students are reminded that they may like to bring to school card games, UNO, magnetic travel games, etc. to challenge the Baby Boomer Generation! Our celebrations will conclude around 12.45pm.

NO LUNCH ORDERS AVAILABLE ON FRIDAY.

Looking forward to celebrating with such special people!

FAMILY MASSES -TERM 3

Family Masses for this term will be held on Sunday 4th August and Sunday 8th September at St Nicholas Church at 9.30a.m. The First Family Mass (4th August) will be hosted by Kindergarten, Year 6 and Confirmation Candidates. It would be lovely to see as many families as possible attending. These Masses are an opportunity for our School community to come together with our Parish Community to celebrate and to share a ‘cuppa ‘and morning tea afterwards.
