Year 12

Year 12 Celebrations marking the end of formal classes were conducted on Tuesday 23 October with an early morning BBQ breakfast hosted by the Year 12 Student Managers and followed by a very entertaining assembly orchestrated by the students.

Teachers, parents and students enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Bayview Eden for the Valedictory Dinner. Warm and sometimes humorous speeches were presented by the Principal, Ms Linda Brown, Student Manager, Mr Julian Day, and the school leaders, Sally Walker, Isabel Pilcher and Kate McMahon. Gratitude was expressed by students and parents for all the work the student managers, Mr Julian Day and Mrs Leah Liakos, have done this year to support them.

All Unit 3 and 4 students are now preparing for the external exams which began this week  with Collaborative Curriculum and Assessment Framework for Languages (CCAFL) exams. MGSC held Swedish and Russian exams for four students. However, for most students the exams begin with the English and EAL exams on Wednesday 31 October.

All students have been issued with an exam navigator distributed by Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) that informs them of all the rules of the exams and a timetable for their reference.

Students are now able to demonstrate all the hard work they have done in a final performance. They have conducted themselves very well in this high pressure time. The Senior School wish them all the very best and hope they achieve their desired goals.

The students should continue to check their emails for any important messages about their VTAC application as some students have yet to complete their registration. If in doubt, they should contact Ms Rebecca Poulos who is able to help them with any queries about the process.
