The 2020 Headstart program begins the following Monday:

Week 2:  2-6 December  (2020 Years 8 to 12)

Week 3: 9-13 December (2020 Years 8 & 9)

Traffic disruptions

Level crossing removal works at Mentone and Cheltenham will mean temporary and long term closures of roads and footpaths in the area. Traffic diversions and changes to bus routes will impact usual travel times. With end of year exams about to start we encourage families to keep informed of changed traffic conditions in the local area to ensure timely arrival at school. It's recommended that families sign up for notifications from the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP). See:

Another  useful website is https://bigbuild.vic.gov.au/disruptions which shows road works not associated with the LXRP.

Road Closure Update

Charman Road, Cheltenham will be closed between Blagdon Street and Station Road from 2pm Friday 15 November to Friday 6 December 2019. Traffic diversions and bus routes changes will be in place.  See the LXRP or PTV websites to see how this will impact your journey to MGSC.

PFA fundraising committee

PFA invites parents to be part of a new initiative. In 2020 they are introducing a fundraising committee to further support our students. The initial aim is to organise one fundraising event each year - small or large - with the monies raised going towards a selected school resource or project. They are seeking expressions of interest to join the PFA and/or the Fundraising Committee. The attached flier provides more information. Interested parents and carers can send through their name and contact details to the office and they will be forwarded to the PFA committee.
