Ripponlea Primary is a VOTING STATION at the upcoming Federal Election ... and we all know that voting without a sausage in your hand or leaving without a home-baked cake is positively un-Australian!!
We need your help to ensure this essential service is provided on Election Day. A few ripper parents have put up their hands to organise these stalls … now all we need are some volunteers to help us out on the day.
Come along to cast your vote, spend an hour or so on a stall AND please donate a cake for our cake stall...
You’ll find cake stall boxes/bags/labels available for collection outside the school office next week. Your goodies can be delivered on:
- Friday 17th May – 8:45am to 4:00pm – Staff Room
- Saturday 18th May – from 7:00am to the Stall
If you have any questions, please contact ripperfamilies@gmail.com or speak to one of our stall coordinators:

Lunch Orders at RPS
69 families completed our Lunch Orders survey and the responses were varied!
- 66% of the respondents currently use Beavers Tail for lunch orders.
- What they like about Beavers Tail: easy to use, convenient, it’s online.
- 70% of respondents would like to see more options/variety/choice, and the provision of healthy options is considered important.
- 72% of respondents rated the Classroom Cuisine menu as good.
Finding a lunch order service that meets all our requirements is extremely difficult. It is clear from our survey results that many families are satisfied with Beavers Tail, however many families would also like to see more variety offered. For this reason, School Council is considering offering Classroom Cuisine as an additional lunch order provider in term 2.
In selecting a lunch order provider, School Council considers a number of factors:
- ease of use, including online ordering and cut-off times
- range and variety of foods available – healthy options with some “not so healthy” options for those families who like to use a lunch order service to provide an occasional treat
- if possible, local businesses using locally sourced ingredients - to reduce food mileage
- providers who are environmentally conscious – reducing the use of packaging and where packaging is used, ensuring it is recyclable
Beavers Tail and Classroom Cuisine tick most of the boxes above. We will provider further information about Classroom Cuisine shortly.
