Easter and Beyond

For Catholics around the world, this Easter was a very unusual time indeed. Since ancient times, Christians celebrate their joy of the Good News together – it is in relationship with each other, praying, sharing Communion and sharing the stories of Jesus and the prophets, that nurture each other and our faith. The physical interactiveness of the Latin Mass in an integral part – offering peace by shaking hands, receiving the body and blood of Christ, singing and praying closely together.  It is by its nature a social and communal experience. Many will remember the startling image of the Holy Father giving his Easter address to an empty St Peter’s Basilica.

However apart physically we are, we may remain spiritually close by participating in Masses that are live-streamed – here are some options:

1. St Patrick’s Cathedral, Melbourne

Mass at St Patrick's Cathedral, Melbourne is available daily. The 1pm Mass is streamed live daily (Mon-Fri) and is then available as a recording on-demand until one hour prior to the next Mass. Sunday Mass is available, with the 11am Mass live streamed and it is also available as a recording on-demand.
