Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge

At Assembly this week we congratulated all of the 171 students who completed the Premiers’ Reading Challenge. The students in Years 3 and 4 had their names up on the screen as they had to read all 15 books themselves and enter them onto the VPRC site to achieve the Challenge. Two Year 5 students, Charli and Anthony, were given their certificates at assembly and earned themselves a canteen voucher for their sustained effort from March to September to meet the Challenge.

Stocktake

We have started our annual stocktake with the Secondary Fiction already completed and the Non Fiction now being checked. As we get to the Primary Fiction and the Picture Books we will make sure that all the borrowed books have returned from students to match our records with the books on the shelf.

Could you check in with your children to see if they have books hiding somewhere at home? We would love to see them back before the end of November.

New Items

Some great additions to the Library have come in during the last week. Aaron Blabey’s Bad Guys is up to Episode 10: The baddest day ever. We have a great picture book called All of the factors of why I love tractors by Davina Bell and we have two copies of the Guinness World Records 2020.
