5-8 Community News

Over the past two weeks for TA, students have continued to set SMART goals for the term.  Many of the students set goals for their academic studies such as maths, English and PBL.

Max Bruhn is pictured standing next to his SMART Goal, which is displayed in the Strength and Kindliness building. The Years 7 and 8 students have also displayed their goals in their learning spaces.

Don't forget to book in an appointment with your TA teacher to discuss your child's goals.

5-8 Community Leader 

Years 5/6 Community

Currently, the 5/6 teachers are preparing students for their camp in Week 6. There have been some exciting learning opportunities for our students where they have had to explore various gold rush explorers. Many of the students were surprised how gold is still found today. 

Year 7 Community

An exciting time for the Year 7 students, as many are preparing and submitting their application for a Year 8 leadership position.  In Week 5, the nominated students will deliver a speech to their community.

Year 8 Community

There is plenty of camp preparation happening for the Year 8 students for Wilsons Prom Camp. The students are setting up tents, organising their cooking materials and training for the overnight hike. Michael Hill continues to put the students through a gruelling session over at the Rec.

On Thursday, Mitchell Bull spent time with five Year 8 students talking about how to improve Kyabram's health services. He spent a one hour lesson with these students where they proposed various health ideas.
