Big thanks to all the students who participated, especially those who volunteered to help out with the administrative duties. This was a good result by our team. We led all day but our depleted relay teams meant we lost the opportunity for multiple double points and we were overrun at the end of the carnival. Our very small team did their best, that is all we can ask.

The following students will be progressing through to the Western Region finals in Geelong on Thursday, 31 March.

  • Layla Mahfouz, 16yrs, 5 events
  • Angela Lavanda 15yrs, 3 events
  • Chloe Rees 18yrs, 3 events
  • Brae Davies, 17yrs, 1 events
  • Nishanth Ganty 16yrs, 1 event
  • Michael Hevey 18yrs 1 event
  • 2 relays teams - Girls 17/20 medley, Girls 16yrs freestyle.

Team Sports

Lawn Bowls – Western Region level

We had a very successful day - nearly. In the round robin we defeated Gilson College 16-1 and beat Belmont SC 12-0. Region semi final we def Western Heights (Geelong) 4-3 in the last roll of the game. Off to the Region final to qualify for the State final we played Keilor Downs. Again it came down to the last roll of the game but this time it was not to be - losing 3-4. A good effort by Emilee, Isla and Sharni, the latter two being basically beginners. Most of the other senior teams were older than our girls.
