MSC Rugby Academy

This semester students in Year 9 and 10 have been involved in a new elective class as part of the Melton Secondary Rugby Academy. In partnership with Academy Movement, participants have been developing their base fitness whilst working on building fundamental skills. The attitude and approach from all students has been great so far, displaying excellent leadership capabilities and a variety of base skill sets. Outstanding efforts have been rewarded with a mouth guard due to the ongoing support from Academy Movement and their sponsors D3. Students within the program continue to push their body’s throughout practical and theory sessions.  In the theoretical component the participants have been discussing and implementing goal setting strategies and healthy habits. The Academy continues to grow with interest and 5 new students have enrolled in the Year 9 class. The students are eagerly looking forward to competitions in Term 2 and 3.
