Outdoor Education

Melton Botanical Gardens

On Friday, 4 March the Year 9 and 10 outdoor education students walked to our local Melton Botanical Gardens to complete an orienteering course, environmental observation testing and a "Clean up Australia Day" activity.

The students worked amazingly in small groups to navigate around this beautifully constructed garden, learning about endemic plants from different environment types along the way. Staff were impressed with students' maturity and effort.

This was also a chance to test students navigation skills and fitness levels before they attend their overnight camps in the coming weeks.

Please contact the PE department if you have any questions about the outdoor education opportunities on offer at MSC.
