Tips and information on staying healthy and safe

Dear Families,

Here we are for another jam-packed year! Hoping you all managed to have a lovely break!

Just a reminder our first pop-up Covid vaccine clinic will run THIS Thursday.  The clinic will provide two COVID-19 vaccine doses to participating students, delivered at 2 appointments, expected to be 8 weeks apart. Members of the school community are welcome to receive third dose vaccinations at either of the dates / times listed below. Dose 1

  • Date: 3rd March
  • Time: 5.30 pm - 6.30 pm
  • Location: School Hall (front of school)

Dose 2

  • Date: 28th April
  • Time: 5.30 pm - 6.30 pm
  • Location: School Hall (front of school)

Eligibility  All Victorians aged over 5 years are eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccinations.  Victorians aged 16 years and over who received their second vaccination 3 or more months ago, are now due for their third dose. Vaccinations will be available to all members of our school community including students, their parents/guardians, and siblings, along with staff and other eligible school community members.

You’re welcome to book an appointment with the mini-clinic at our school on this link:https://www.hotdoc.com.au/medical-centres/flinders-VIC-3929/st-marks-medical-centre-flinders/doctors/yarrabah-school-covid-19-vaccination You can also attend without an appointment if you’re not able to book.

Thank you to all the families who are carrying out their RAT tests prior to sending their child to school this helps ensure we are detecting positive cases much quicker, I empathise this isn’t an easy task for some of our children so I appreciate your efforts!

Our staff are undertaking lots of training at the moment to ensure we are best equipped to support your children whilst they are at school.

Also a reminder to ensure your child’s medical records are up to date at school, please inform us if your child’s medical conditions or medications have changed over the holiday period this again ensures the school is well informed when it comes to your child’s health.

Thank you

Jess
