Junior School

It is already a busy year in sport for the Junior School. Martin Smyth, from Year 6 has made his way through to CIS Tennis and will compete on behalf of Calrossy and Hunter Region Independent Schools.

Our Junior HRIS representative swimmers are competing in Newcastle this Thursday. We wish them well as they complete against the best swimmers in HRIS.

Touch Football begins today, and Calrossy is fielding a number of teams from our ‘ Nippers’ in Kindergarten to Year 2, all the way up to our Year 6 students. We’re so excited to have out teams playing after a couple of years of interrupted sport. There are some spots available on teams, so if students still wish to play, Calrossy may be able to place players in teams at the last minute.

Basketball returns this Thursday for Junior School teams. Thank you to those parents who have registered for teams using the links and team codes found on The Hub. Registration can be paid straight to Tamworth Basketball. No payment is required to Calrossy. The overwhelming numbers of students may mean we may be short of Basketball Jerseys for some teams, so please be patient as we arrange jerseys. There will be new Basketball jerseys for coming seasons as Calrossy transitions to new sporting team uniforms.

Secondary

Secondary HRIS Swimming Information will be out to students today. Once again, we are excited to have our teams out and representing the school in Newcastle. If your student is unable to attend, please let us know as as soon as possible.

Touch Football begins Wednesday, and Calrossy is fielding a number of teams across all age groups. It is not to late for students to join, so please ensure registration is paid using the links on Qkr.

Secondary Basketball begins on Wednesday. Tamworth Basketball has had slow registrations from students and as a result, only teams with sufficient registration will be able to take to the court. Please bring your jersey from last year if you have it.

The Calrossy Identified Athlete Program began this week with 10-12 students beginning their round of lab testing. There are still places available in the program for 7-12 students. Use the Identified Athletes Page on The Hub to make the application.

Target Shooting getting underway, with information available the Target Shooting page of The Hub now.
