MCA CAREERS WEEK | 7 – 11 MARCH

It’s been a great start to our Marist College Ashgrove Careers Week. The Careers Centrehas been buzzing with studentscoming in to discuss future study / careers options and entering our “Match my Teacher Competition”.

CAREERS WEEK | ADF Lunchbox Session

On Monday the boys enjoyed a visit from the Australian Defence Force, with representatives from the Army, Navy and Airforce. The session was timed perfectly with CH-47 Chinook helicopters flying over our school out of Enoggera Barracks to provide assistance to flood-affected areas of Northern NSW.

CAREERS WEEK | Careers Expo

All our students will be given the opportunity to talk with local tertiary, apprenticeship and work pathway providers at our Careers Expo on Thursday 10 March, enabling them to gain current information to kick start their career exploration. The expo is straight after school and we have invited neighbouring girl schools to attend. There will also be Jimbo’s Delights and O’Crumbs Burgers food trucks for a treat!

CAREERS WEEK | Resume Lunchbox Session

We have a professional resume writer coming in to provide Year 11-12 students with all the ins and outs of a great resume. Students have been invited to register on  Moodle.

CAREERS WEEK | Work Experience

Mr Gaiter will be speaking to Y10 students about the value of work experience.
