Youth & Schools Clean up Day

On Friday 4th of March, St Columba's participated in the Youth and Schools Clean up day. We collected litter from our school yard, around the block, the Ormond road shops, the Elwood Canal and Elwood beach and playground!

We were delighted to note that there wasn't a great deal of rubbish near the creek and on the beach as there are dedicated community members who clean these areas regularly. The most rubbish was found around the block from our school, particularly near shops and cafes. Overall we collected 2 large bags of rubbish and 1 large bag of recyclables!! 

An amazing effort by our school :)
