Messages from the Front Office

Successful Student Awards

Congratulations to all the students who were recipients of successful student awards at our assembly on 26 May. Congratulations also to Miss Bastow and the students from Kangaroos class for presenting a fantastic assembly item.

Breakfast Club

Please note that going forward, breakfast club will only operate on Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30am - 8:45am in the science room. We are still looking for volunteers to assist with breakfast club on these two days so please contact our Chaplain, Tammy (through the front office or Dojo) if you are in a position to assist.

With this change, from Monday, 1 May 2023 the school gates will now open to all students on all school days at 8:30am so please ensure  students do not arrive at school prior to this time as there will be no supervision.  This will not impact on students attending ‘Kids Academy’ (before school care).

Library Help Needed

Mrs Preston has some lovely new books that need covering before they can go into the Library. If any parents or Grandparents are available to volunteer an hour or two of your time to help with book covering, it would be most appreciated. Please contact Mrs Preston in the Library on Tuesday's or Wednesday's.

Voluntary Contributions

Thank you to those families that have already paid their voluntary contributions for the year.

The amount asked from parents is determined by the School Board each year. The monies available are used to offset the cost of photocopying, ICT charges and the replacement of non-consumable books and items that students use in class e.g. reading books. The total amount of contributions parents and carers are being asked to pay for students is $60 per student – this is the maximum amount set in the School Education Regulations.  Families with two or more children are asked to contribute $120 per family.  Our P&C can also be included with an amount of $20 per family.

Payment can be made at the front office with cash or card, or by direct deposit to our bank account.  Our bank account details are;

BSB: 066 040

Account: # 19905042

Please ensure that you provide a reference that includes the CHILD'S NAME AND YEAR GROUP to allow for timely processing.

Crunch & Sip

Many of our classes participate in the crunch and sip program designed to increase the amount of fruit, vegetable and water being consumed by Primary school aged children. Please ensure that you are packing a piece of fruit or vegetable and a water bottle every day so that students are able to participate.

Lost Property

These items are still unclaimed. If they belong to your child, polease collect them before the end of term or they will be donated to charity.

RAT Tests

COVID-19 remains prevalent in Western Australia and testing for COVID-19 when you have cold and flu like symptoms is a quick and convenient way to detect and limit the spread of COVID-19, keeping our school communities safe. The Education Department has issued additional boxes of RAT tests and one box is available per student for families to collect from the Front Office.

No Hat No Play

Parents,  please ensure your child has a hat packed in their bag everyday. The school DOES NOT have any spare hats available anymore as students have borrowed them and not returned them. Children without hats must play undercover, so to avoid disappointment please ensure they have a hat with them every day.

The uniform shop sells reversible school/faction coloured bucket hats. The uniform shop is open every Monday 8.30am - 9am.
