Year 8 Sport - Thursday Sport

 

The Year 8 cohort will be swapping their Thursday Sport next week. 

  • Aquinas, Brigid and Delany - Swimming Lessons at UNSW Students are to wear the school swimsuit . They will be dismissed at 2:45 pm. 
  • Regina Mundi, Winifred and Xavier will participate in AFL, Flag Gridiron and Cricket at Paine Reserve. All students will be dismissed at 2:45 pm from Paine Reserve.

Stage 4 Elective Dance Program 

 

SCS is offering a Stage 4 Dance Elective Program during Thursday's Sport at Our Lady of The Sacred Heart College. There will be students from Brigidine, St. Clares, OLSH and Marcellin engaging in this fantastic opportunity. 

 

The program will run for the 10 weeks of Term 3. The program will run for two hours 12:30 - 2:30 pm each Thursday. Students will be transported to OLSH and dismissed from OLSH at 2:30 pm.

Representative Dance 

We are thrilled to announce the incredible success of the Brigidine Jazz and Hip Hop teams at the recent SCS Eisteddfod! The talented dancers showcased their extraordinary skills, leaving the audience awestruck and judges amazed. It was an unforgettable day filled with rhythm, energy, and outstanding performances.

 

The Brigidine Jazz team, led by the exceptional choreographer, Jessica Powell Antonini, stole the show with their impeccable precision and captivating choreography. Their dedication and hard work paid off as they secured the coveted first-place position in the SCS Eisteddfod. This remarkable achievement is a testament to their talent, teamwork, and unwavering commitment. Congratulations to each and every member of the Jazz team on this well-deserved victory!

 

Not far behind, the Brigidine Hip Hop team, under the guidance of the remarkable dance choreographer, Jessica Powell Antonini, delivered a sensational performance that earned them the esteemed third-place position. Their innovative moves, synchronised routines, and infectious energy set the stage on fire, leaving the audience cheering for more. The Hip Hop team showcased their passion for dance and their dedication to honing their skills. We applaud their tremendous effort and congratulate them on this remarkable accomplishment.

 

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Culhane who has been there every step of the way, providing encouragement and unwavering support.

 

Once again, congratulations to the Brigidine Jazz and Hip Hop teams for their outstanding performances at the SCS Eisteddfod. You have shown the world the true spirit of Brigidine and set the bar high for future dancers to follow. Your achievements will be cherished and celebrated for years to come.

SCS Cross Country 

Congratulations to the 25 outstanding students who participated in the SCS Cross Country Carnival! Our Brigidine athletes displayed remarkable strength and perseverance as they navigated the challenging course with grit and determination. Each participant showcased their commitment to excellence, pushing their limits and representing our school with grace and sportsmanship.
