We are excited to share with you the recent happenings in our school's PE and Sports program.

During PE lessons, students have been engaging in soccer drills and games, which have been met with enthusiastic participation and a lot of fun. Soccer is a great sport for kids to learn and practice a wide range of skills, both physical and mental. Here are some examples of skills kids can use in soccer:

Physical Skills:

  1. Running and sprinting
  2. Dribbling and controlling the ball
  3. Kicking and shooting
  4. Passing and teamwork
  5. Jumping and heading the ball
  6. Balance and coordination
  7. Agility and speed
  8. Strength and endurance
  9. Reaction time and reflexes
  10. Goalkeeping and defending

Mental Skills:

  1. Focus and concentration
  2. Decision making and problem solving
  3. Spatial awareness and positioning
  4. Anticipation and prediction
  5. Creativity and improvisation
  6. Communication and leadership
  7. Perseverance and determination
  8. Resilience and mental toughness
  9. Positive self-talk and confidence
  10. Sportsmanship and fair play.

By practicing these skills, kids can not only improve their soccer abilities but also develop important life skills such as teamwork, communication, and resilience.

Great news for our school's football and netball teams! Both teams achieved victories in their recent games and have continued to demonstrate their skills and sportsmanship on the field.

Our football team played an outstanding match against a tough opponent, showing great determination and teamwork throughout the game. With skilful ball control and excellent communication, the team managed to have multiple goal scorers with the highlight being our sport captain Harry Hopgoods 13 goals in 3 quarters and secure a well-deserved victory.

Similarly, our netball teams put on a great show of talent and sportsmanship in their latest game. They demonstrated excellent teamwork and support for each other, both on and off the court, and their victory was well-deserved.

Well done to our football and netball teams, and we look forward to seeing more of their success on the field!
