Attitudes to School Survey 2023 – AToSS

We value student voice as a means to improving student engagement, wellbeing and quality instruction and are conducting a survey to find out what your child thinks of their school.

The AToSS is an annual student survey offered by the Department of Education to assist schools in gaining an understanding of students' perceptions and experience of school. Students will be asked about their thoughts and feelings in relation to their school, their learning, peer relationships, resilience, bullying, health and wellbeing, physical activity, and life in general.

This year, the AToSS will be conducted on Tuesday 23rd May in an extended Home Group session. Home Group begins at 8:55am, the roll will be marked and the scheduled Talk About It Tuesday presentation will run. At 9:05am the bell will go and Home Group students will remain in their room to complete the survey.

Students who are at Regional Cross Country, or who are absent for other reasons, will have an opportunity to complete the survey in make-up sessions run during the following two weeks.

Parent information re AToSS was posted on Compass on Wednesday 10th May. This letter is translated into Arabic, Punjabi, Dari, Hazaragi, Somali, Turkish, Persian, Vietnamese and Hindi. The letter explains the purpose of the survey and how school will use the results. It also informs you that if you wish to withdraw your child from AToSS then please phone or email the college.
