Principal's Report

Dear families,
CURRICULUM DAY/ KING’S BIRTHDAY
Tomorrow, Friday the 9th of June is a Report Writing Day, there is no school for students on this day. Monday the 12th is a Public Holiday. This will be a nice long weekend for families to enjoy.
HAND FOOT & MOUTH DISEASE
We have been notified of a case of Hand Foot and Mouse Disease (HFMD) in our school. Symptoms of HFMD usually include fever, mouth sores, and skin rash. The rash is commonly found on the hands and feet. Hand, foot, and mouth disease is common in infants and children younger than 5 years old. Most children have mild symptoms for 7 to 10 days.
HEADLICE
We have several reported cases of head lice in our school. Health regulations require that where a child has head lice, that child should not return to school until the day after appropriate treatment has started. To limit the spread, all students must have shoulder length hair tied up. We encourage you to check your child's hair this weekend.
REVIEW
Today is our Validation Day for our School Review. The Panel which consists of the Reviewer, the Senior Education Leader and two Challenge Partners (other Principals) will review our Pre-Review Self-Assessment, conduct classroom observations, and meet with Student Focus Groups. This is the first of three days before the end of the term.
BREAKFAST CLUB
Once again Breakfast Club was extremely popular this week. A big thank you to those parents and teachers who came along to help. Your assistance was greatly appreciated. It is so great to see the students enjoying their breakfast on these chilly mornings.
SCHOOL CONCERT
After such positive feedback from our concert last year, we will hold our annual school concert at The Junction Hotel, Toolamba again. It will be held on Thursday November 16th.
Have a lovely extra-long weekend,
Regards Heather
