Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) on School Students with Disability

What is the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data?

Schools must now complete the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) every year. It counts the number of students who receive additional adjustments or “help” at school because of a disability. The NCCD helps governments plan for the needs of students with disability.

Traffic Management

Over the past year, traffic around the College has increased and at dismissal times when student traffic is at its peak, drivers are putting our young men at risk. Please follow the parking details for pick up and drop off at Mazenod College.

It would be appreciated if you could consider the other options which are available when it comes to picking up your son from school. Students can be picked up or dropped off in the carpark of the Monash Community Centre, students can walk across the bridge to Brandon Park Drive and there are also many side streets surrounding the College where a student could be picked up. A short walk is great for the cardiovascular system and may even allow for a gain in fitness! Thanks for your consideration and cooperation.

Covid Information

Covid is still an ongoing concern. We ask that parents and students make themselves familiar with the recommendations outlined below that were published in the most recent MACS Covid Safe Plan.

  • It is strongly recommended that any person who exhibits COVID-like symptoms conduct a RAT Test.
  • It is strongly recommended that students/staff who test positive for COVID-19 should stay home and isolate for five days.
  • If still symptomatic after five days students/staff should not attend school.
  • Students/staff who are symptomatic but have not tested positive should not attend school.
  • When students become symptomatic at school, they should be collected by their parents/carers and undergo testing for COVID-19.

Masks

  • Staff and students who wish to wear a face mask should be supported to do so, and schools should continue to make face masks available for staff, students and visitors.
  • It is recommended that masks be worn by a person who is a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, when leaving home.
  • It is recommended that masks should be worn by a person who has COVID-19 for 10 days after a positive test, when they need to leave home.
