Celebrating Mother’s Day at SFS
Mother’s Day Morning Tea
We had an amazing day celebrating Mother’s Day at SFS today. Thank you to all the mums, nans, aunts and special women who joined us for our Mother’s Day morning tea. There was an amazing spread of cakes, slices, scones, croissants, savoury pastries and so much more. Thank you to all the committee members who so generously brought along a plate of food to share.
There were lots of smiles, laughter, stories being shared and photos with our amazing backdrop thanks to Plan It events. We had a special mini raffle and several lucky ladies walked away with some amazing prizes. No one left empty handed – every guest received a small gift from the PFA.
Mother’s Day allows us to get together and celebrate love, motherhood and solidarity with other mums in our community. We felt honoured to be able to bring together so many amazing women and celebrate a wonderful morning together. We hope you all have a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend!
Mother’s Day Stall
The kids were so excited to go shopping at the Mother’s Day stall. Gift were carefully and lovingly selected, just for mum. Enjoy your special gifts and the thoughtfulness of your kids – we hope it puts a smile on your face!
Mother’s Day Raffle
We are overwhelmed by the support of the SFS parent community and the local business community. We were delighted to have 40 prizes in the raffle – there were lots of amazing hampers, gift packs and vouchers to spoil mum. Thanks to your support, the PFA have been able to raise $1,000 which we will be donating to the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea. Thank you for your generous support that allows us to make this donation on behalf of our school community.
We want to extend a huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to the following businesses who have generously donated prizes for our raffle. Many of these businesses are affiliated with our school or local community – and we encourage you to support these businesses where you can.
Fun Food Friday at SFS – Chips and Popcorn!
Chips and popcorn are on sale at first lunch every Friday in Term 2 for $1. Please remember to give your child money if they are allowed to purchase.
If any parents would like to join the roster to sell chips/popcorn, please email sfspfa@sfslynbrook.catholic.edu.au
You’ll be rostered once or twice per term between 10:45 – 11:15am and your kids will love seeing you at school!
Wonder Recycling Rewards is BACK!
SFS is excited to participate in the Wonder Recycling Rewards program once again. You simply need to collect bread bags and drop them into the collection boxes at school. Please empty the bread bags of any crumbs. Wonder is not collecting the bread tags this year so please do not send these to school. Wonder will turn the plastic bags collected into wonderful things like school play equipment! What a WONDERFUL recycling initiative!!
A reminder that all volunteers and helpers at SFS must have a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC). These checks are very easy to apply for, and are free for volunteers!
