Learning and Teaching

Learning Space 1 Seniors

The Learning Space 1 Seniors have commenced their Term 2 concept on Connections. We have been building on our understanding of God as the Trinity.

Students have been making connections when we are making the sign of the cross that we are naming our God "The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit". This is a sign of faith. By this action we prepare ourselves to pray to God, by recognising that we pray to the Father who created us, the Son who walked among us and the Spirit who guides us in our daily lives. By this action we recall the unity and love within this connection.

Students were invited through the creation of prayer to share and give thanks to God as the Trinity in their own way, students are then going to be using these personalised prayers to lead and guide their peers through prayer in our Morning Gatherings.

St John’s provided transport and a sausage for each child. The soccer teams were lucky enough to participate in specialised soccer clinics provided by the St John’s Football Program Coaches. We are very grateful to St John’s and the coaches for providing our students with this opportunity.

We congratulate all our children who participated as part of Team a and Team b. They both did very well.

Congratulations to Team B who won the grand final and were presented with a soccer ball. We were all very excited and delighted by the efforts, enthusiasm and skills of our children.

Our Volleyball teams continue to show enthusiasm on the court.  The mixed/boys Soccer team came away with a win, and the encouragement from two leaders on the team, Emanuel and Reyon showed great leadership and maturity, well done boys! You both should be commended on your continued attitude to your team and the opposition.  Our Netball teams do extremely well each week, our girls team came away with a win whereas our mixed team was a draw.  Our T-ball teams did extremely well.

Well deserved!!
