Happy Mother's Day

Wishing all our mums, granmother's and special people who step in to be mums to us a very Happy Mother's Day. Hope you enjoy your especially chosen gifts. If like me your mum is not with you this Mother's Day a big hug. We hope that times shared will bring you comfort and joy. Happy Mother's Day.

We had a lovely Mother's day morning tea and there was a delicious selection of food to enjoy. It was great to see mum's and grandmother's enjoy this lovely event organised by our Parent & Friends Association (P&F). Thanks to the many local businesses and school families who sponsored the raffle or event. There were some great prizes with all the money going the Cancer Council of Victoria.

After the morning tea the SFS Mother's Day Stall was in full swing as shoppers across the school came over to select a lovey gift for their mum, grandma or special person. Well done to our P&F for all their organisation to make this all happen so beautifully. We so appreciate all that you do for our students and our school. A very Happy Mother's Day.

CONGRATULATIONS

A big congratulations to 35 of our Year 3 students who received their First Reconciliation on Thursday 11 May at St Kevin's Church. We pray for God's blessings on each one of them as they journey through life. We were very proud of them and thank their parents for the prepartion and presentation of their child. A big thanks to Rozetta for all her coordination and to our senior staff for their support. The children received their First Reconciliation form Fr Anel, Fr Kevin from St Paul Apostle, Endeavour Hills or from Fr Sudhat from St Mary's Dandenong.

CONGRATULATIONS and CELEBRATIONS!!

On Monday our A and B teams completed in the 2023 Paul Wade Soccer Gala held hosted by St John's Regional College Dandenong, We were very proud of both our teams who participated with great enthusiasm and gave gave their very BEST! Teams had to play other Catholic schools in a knock out competition. Both are teams progressed very well and most importantly enjoyed the experience.

We congratulate our B team who qualified for the finals. They played St Paul Apostle North in the finals. The A and B team celebrated together delighted at wining the grand final.  Majok Mawith a past pupil of St John's and professional soccer player presented our team with a signed soccer ball. The ball takes pride of place in our showcase.

We thank St John's for holding this annual Soccer Gala, providing our children and staff with lunch and providing a bus to take them to and from the gala. Our children loved the day and were great ambassadors of our school.

Castles in the SUN!

On a beautiful autumn afternoon, there was nothing better than building a magical castle. It was the turn of our juniors at lunchtime on Thursday and there were many loving the opportunity for some sand scaping. There were castles of all description and so great to see children working together to creatively build their mansion.
