Maryanny Leonard

My name is  Maryann Leonard.  My husband John and I moved to Corryong at the end of June this year.  I am the new Anglican Priest for Corryong, Biggara and Cudgewa.

I have had over thirty years experience as an Educator in Private and Public Schools.  Specialising in Religious Education and being part of creating relative curriculum. I have also held various leadership positions.  My role has also seen me as a chaplain, teacher and head of student welfare and Child Safe Officer.

While my husband was in the defence force and stationed in Townsville, I lectured at James Cook University QLD, in Primary Education.  While working at James Cook I also held a  position as an Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Tutor.

For four days a week I work as the parish priest and now 2 days a week a Sacred Heart Catholic School.  I am looking forward to eventually meeting parents and getting to know the students and staff.  This is an exciting time.  The students will be referring to me as Maryann.

QR Codes when entering School

This communication is to provide you with important information about a new update on the health directions under which all schools will be required to operate.

The use of Service Victoria QR codes for electronic record keeping is mandatory for all workplaces to enable the effective contact tracing of any COVID-19 cases.

This now includes all education sector workplaces, including schools.

QR codes will be required to be used by:  all parents who enter buildings when on the school site  all visitors, including contractors, external Catholic Education staff and building and maintenance staff.

If you are required to enter buildings on school grounds, for whatever purpose, you are required to use the QR code check-in located within the ADMIN building.

Thank you for your support and understanding of this important health direction.

School Supervision and Parent Drop off

Just a friendly reminder for Parents and Carers, that students are not allowed access to school grounds and buildings before 8:30am as there is no active supervision before this time. Children who do arrive before this time will have their Parents or Carers called to come and collect. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
