Is it feasible to grow our own food?

Students in Year 8 Food Studies are currently focusing on food sustainability. Over the last couple of weeks Food Faculty staff have been busy setting up seed packets to mail out to families, for what we hope will be a morale boosting and engaging, hands-on task! 

By the time you are reading this, we hope that Year 8 families will have received their individual seed packets for students to get stuck into planting, to be able to address the investigative question ‘is it really feasible to grow our own food’?  

We are very excited to see how this unfolds over the year and wish our students the best of luck in growing successful fruits, vegetables and herbs that they can use in a recipe towards the end of the year.
