Physical Education Focus

A Focus of PE

Foundation & Year 1/2 Students

Students have started the term by practising their kicking skills. Students have been kicking soccer and footballs to each other as well as at different targets and goals. During remote learning students continued to practise the skill and show off their outstanding creativity skills by coming up with their own targets to kick at. Thank you to all the students who practised their kicking at home as well as to the family members who supported them by helping to create targets, film and in at least one case, stand next to the target holding it while their child kicked through it, great commitment.

Year 3 – 6 Students

Students have been busy preparing for their athletics events. At school they have been working on their techniques in discus, shot put and hurdles. At home during lockdown they learnt to ‘fly’ – working on their leaping skills for long jump. Again, thank you to everyone who had a go at this game and to the family members who supported the learning. Thank you also to all those younger and older siblings who joined in and played as well. It was great to see the support from everyone to assist the PE program.
