Celebrating our terrific Twos!
Grade 2 have been exploring the properties of 3 dimensional shapes and describing their features. Using items from around their home's students created their own 3-dimensional shapes. What an amazing job they did!

In our reading groups, we have been focusing on predictions before reading. This week the Green Jellybeans had to predict what the front cover of their story would look like. The only information they were given was the title 'Sloppy Tiger and the Party'. Millie's drawing matched the front cover of the book, almost exactly!

In Maths, we have been learning about the properties of 3D shapes. This week, the students had to use material they had at home to make different 3D shapes. Lydia had so much fun making all the different shapes. There was even some great teamwork skills between Lydia and her brother Gus to get all the shapes standing!

We have been learning all about shapes in our Grade 2 Maths Groups!
We got crafty with materials from home to build our very own 3D shapes.
