MATHS OLYMPIAD

This week our Year 5 and 6 students participated in the Maths Olympiad #2.  This was done online for the first time. Mr Okita and I supervised the Olympiad via a WebEx conference which, while unusual , worked very well. As always, the questions were very challenging.  Our students did a fantastic job. A huge thank you to Mr Okita who as well as looking after his own class remotely has also been providing opportunities for our students to be involved in practice tests each week in the build up to the Olympiad.

Thank you also to Miss Kelly who has been working with some of our Year 3 and 4 students in our maths extension program.

TIPS FOR  LEARNING AT HOME

Assisting your child while we are learning from home can be extremely challenging. The Mathematical Association of Victoria have produced a couple of documents to provide some tips to help make this transition to learning from home easier.

SUSTAINABILITY

Mss Ison and Miss Fullerton have continued to work on documenting all our Sustainable practices over the  last few weeks. We have created a Sustainability blog that we are very excited about. Over the year we will continually update and add to our blog to enable us to share the great things we are doing to create a more sustainable school.

If you would like to have a look at our blog please click the link below. You can also access the blog through the Sustainability page on our website.
