As part of National Science Week, Kingswood Primary School held a STEAM Day last Friday where students participated in different STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) activities across their year levels.

The theme for the day was ‘Game Changers’, with students learning about remarkable individuals who have shaped our history with their discoveries, including the likes of Ada Lovelace, Fred Hollows, Charles Darwin, Fiona Wood and Rosalind Franklin to name just a few.

Year 6 students were encouraged to lead the lessons whilst the rest of the students were challenged to make their own hands-on discoveries through activities including botanical illustration, fossil making, forensic science, rocket making, LED art and coding a GIF.
