Turquoise Community

Turquoise

What a year it has been in Turquoise Community! We can’t believe the end of the year is just around the corner, it feels like only yesterday when we had our first day together. We are looking forward to farewelling our Year 6’s at our Graduation and final days of TSPS as they head off to High School and wishing our Year 5’s all the best for their 2020 classes. To the Year 5’s that are leaving TSPS at the end of the year, we wish you all the best for the future.

Term 4 has been actioned packed as always with a range of events such as camp, non-campers’ program, transition, colour run and our year 5’s applying for 202 leadership.

Our Colour Run on Friday the 15th saw our students coming to school dressed in white, but that didn’t last long! Special thanks to our Leadership and SRC students who spent the whole day ensuring the Colour Run ran smoothly. On the course Turquoise students loved jumping, climbing, bouncing and crawling through the obstacles, practicing their aim on the water target, aka James and covering themselves in coloured powder. They were also invited to Hit the Soccer target thanks to Western United FC if they raised money for the event.

Our 5/6 Camp was another amazing chance to celebrate the year we’ve had with all who attended. Students were able to participate in activities during the day such as mountain bike riding, skateboarding, giant swing, initiatives, hut building, orienteering, games galore and the beach walk. It was amazing to see the students challenge and push themselves to have a go and develop friendships with others. Our night activities saw a campfire, movie and disco that didn’t disappoint. We never knew our students were such good dancers!

We would like to wish all our students and families and very safe and happy holidays over the long break. Remember to look after each other and be kind.
