Faith and Wellbeing Assistant Principal's Report

Year 12 Farewell

Last week we farewelled our Year 12 students with a fantastic assembly on Monday 23 October 2017 and the Year 12 Breakfast and Dress Up Day the following day, Tuesday 24 October 2017.  Our students enjoyed these occasions thoroughly and we were very happy to once again have a celebration that was dignified and fitting for our community.  We congratulate the Year 12 students on the positive and respectful way they behaved during their final days of classes.  Many of the VCE students are continuing to come to school for revision sessions as they prepare for their exams and we wish them all the very best in their preparations and keep them in our prayers.  We look forward to celebrating the Graduation Mass with the Year 12 Class of 2017 on November Thursday 23 November 2017, commencing with Mass at 6.00pm at St Simons Parish in Rowville.

Youth Ministry

Last week during the Extended Pastoral Period on Tuesday 24 October 2017, our Year 9 students ran  Youth Ministry sessions for Year 7 students in class groups.  Our Year 9 students were very impressive, showed great leadership skills and witnessed to the Year 7 students the love God has for us. Congratulations to all the Year 9 students and to Mr Nathan who coordinated the sessions and Mr Diaz and Mr McDonald who were the Year 9 RE Teachers.  We also had Mr Nathan’s Year 10 Youth Ministry class leading a Reflection Day for students from St Justin’s and St Elizabeth’s primary schools.  They all had a ball as the prepared together for their Sacrament.

Uniform

As we move into the middle part of the final Term a reminder to all students and their families that the expectations for uniform remain as they have.  Please be positive ambassadors of the College and wear our uniform with pride and as per our College expectations.

St Vincent de Paul

On  Friday 16 November 2017 Nazareth will host a meeting of some of our Primary Schools with

St. Vincent de Paul groups (Minnie Vinnies).  At this meeting the schools will feedback to each other the fruits of their 2017 mission, pray together and be inspired for 2018 as they share with each other.  A big thank you to all the College Conference for their great work this year and to Ms Douglass for her wonderful leadership.

Mid Term Break

The Term is moving very quickly and we are now into the fourth week of the Term.  A reminder that we have our Mid Term Break on Monday 6 November and Tuesday 7 November 2017.  VCE exams will be held on Monday 6 November 2017, therefore Year 12 students will need to check the VCE Examination Timetable and attend the College for the scheduled VCE exams on Monday 6 November 2017.
