2016 City Park Bulletin

All Years 8 Maths classes went to an excursion in City Park last May 7 where they consolidated and enhanced their understanding of measurement through real world problem solving. The activities involved working in groups to solve a variety of mathematical problems and do measurements at several stations around the park.  All students were engaged in making the connections between the work in the classroom and the outside world environment. This activity will be followed by a task where students will design their own inquiry into measurement in their home environment.
