Australian Brass Quintet

On Wednesday 5 September the Australian Brass Quintet visited McCarthy. During Period 4, the Quintet conducted a workshop with the Concert Band. The band worked on two pieces, a John Williams Melody and Aladdin. The band members had the opportunity to sit next to, play with, and learn from the Quintet.

During Period 5, the Quintet performed a concert in Our Lady of The Rosary Cultural Centre for the Concert Band and Year 7 students. The Australian Brass Quintet performed a variety of music and styles, and it was a wonderful concert. 

Also coming up in Music are the HSC Practical exams on Monday and Thursday of Week 9. We wish them the best of luck.

The Concert Band's last performance for this term will be at Catholic Schools Celebrate on Thursday 27 September. The Band will be performing in the foyer before the show as the audience arrives. We also have three groups performing within the show itself. We hope you can come along and support our talented McCarthy students.
