Careers News

Year 12 2018
A flurry of final career interviews, last minute questions, on-time applications (eg UAC, EAS, SRS and QTAC etc) deadlines for Early Entry Schemes, scholarships and resumes means that this can be a hectic time for many Year 12 students.
Checking emails and notices is crucial so that there are no missed deadlines. I urge all Year 12 students to do this and to allow time for applications to be drafted, checked, proof read and submitted with any necessary documentation.
The last guest speaker for the Year 12 came earlier in Week 8 to discuss Early Entry applications to Southern Cross University.
Apprenticeships and Traineeships
Many of these are now being advertised for both immediate starts and starts at the end of this year or early next year. Again there is a need to check notices, emails and McCarthy Careers on Facebook where details of these are posted.
Students in Years 10 and above are urged to consider their options, apply for various positions and seek help/advice when needed.
