Year 4 Eucharist Mass & 3/4 Level Mass

This Sunday - 1st of March the 3/4 Students celebrate their combined Level and Eucharist Commitment Mass. It is an expectation that students/parents attend all components in the preparation of a Sacrament. Attendance at our Level Masses in an expectation too. The parents and students in Year 4 have been involved, supportive and positive in this, the early stages of the Sacrament and we are appreciative of their commitment to their child’s faith journey. All families are asked to bring a plate to share with the parish for morning tea.  I wish to thank the Parent Reps in this level in advance, as I know that they are organising and coordinating the bringing and serving of morning tea after this Sunday Mass to families and parishioners.

Foundation Students are now full-time

A reminder to our Foundation Families that our Foundation students are now full-time.

District Swimming

We wish our District Swimming Team good luck at the Carnival to be held on Wednesday 4th March at the Noble Park Aquatic Centre.  The team are very excited and we wish them well.

Parent Rep Meeting

A big Thank you to those parents who have volunteered to be Parent Reps this year.  We will be holding a Parent Rep Information Session here in Brigid Hall at 7:00pm on Wednesday night.  The more help the better so if you would still like to volunteer its not too late.

Foundation Mass

The Foundation Mass/Parish Picnic was held at Braeside Park last Sunday.  It was a great day, well attended by our Foundation families along with families from other levels and our parishioners.  The students were very attentive and their singing was beautiful.  To our Foundation teachers Mrs Finster, Mrs Yass and Mrs Hampton, a huge thank you for organising our students after only 4 weeks at school.  It was an outstanding effort!  Thanks also to Team Kids Co-ordinator, Yasmin Richards for her organisation of games on the day.  The feedback from the families has been very positive.

House Cross Country

We are looking forward to our House Cross Country to be held on Thursday 12 March.  Our Year 3 to 6 students will compete at the George Woods and Jack Grute Reserve commencing at 9.30am. Our Prep to Year 2 students will have their event held on the Grass oval here at school from 11.30am onwards.  All students will be competing for house points on the day and for the Year 4 to 6 students a stop watch will be running as we will be selecting our interschool  Cross Country Squad from the results on the day.  We encourage parents to help us on the day as spotters along the route and to help with finish line marshalling for both events.  Looking forward to your help and support on the day.  All going well we will be able to announce the House results on the day and then within a week announce the Cross Country Squad for 2020.  All students are to wear a t-shirt in their house colours.

Year 1 to Year 4 Swimming Program

Our swimming program will take place over the last two weeks of term at the Toby Haenan Swim Centre—10 Ashley Park Drive, Chelsea Heights.  All information has been sent to families via Caremonkey.  Swimming is a compulsory part of our Sport Program.

Fees

All families have been emailed their fee statements and payment option letters, these have also been sent home in hard copy with students. We ask that families take time to read through and complete the St Brigid’s fee payment option form and return it to the office ASAP. Families wishing to set up a direct debit are reminded that monthly and fortnightly instalments will commence on the 1st and 6th of March respectively.  Please be aware when completing this form that Monthly and Fortnightly instalments do not include levies and camp fees as these need to be completed according to your child’s year level.  If families choose the instalment options levies and camp fees will be deducted on the 13 March as per the due date.  Please also be aware that if you have a balance brought forward from 2019 this amount is not included in the scheduled payments and is over due. Please make arrangements to have this paid as soon as possible.  Additional amounts invoiced throughout the year for sports or additional activities are also not included. Overdue and additional amounts can be paid through CDFpay, electronically to St Brigid’s Primary School BSB 083-347 Account 650683464, by credit card or cash at the school office.
