F-4 Community News

Foundation

In Foundation, students have begun learning about addition and measurement in numeracy. 

Our new Religious Education topic is I care for God's world.  Students have brainstormed ideas about practical ways they can look after the world we live in. 

Years 3 and 4

In writing, Years 3 and 4 students have been learning about poetry. This week we wrote cinquain poems. Mrs Kelsey's literacy group did a great job creating a cinquain poem about our guinea pigs.

For Inquiry this term, 3/4 students are learning about 'The Science Behind ....' forces such as push and pull, attraction and repulsion, friction and dropping, throwing and rolling. Students participated in a range of immersion on these topics and are now going to explore them further in workshops. 

The 3/4 students have welcomed two new furry friends into their learning space this term. We worked together to name Shaun and Funky who have settled in well and are loving all the love and attention.
