Focus on Learning
Mrs Robyn Wilson - Year 3/4
News from the 3/4 Room
Even though we have had a lot of children away the last few weeks with chicken pox, coughs, colds and stomach bugs our students have continued to make the most of their time in the classroom.
In Mathematics we are learning about multiplication. The children have been solving many problems using the area model and algorithms.
In Geography this term we are researching Australia and its neighbours, so the children have been very busy finding out all they can about Indonesia.
We also had a lot of fun doing some Indonesian art. This is our amazing Batik art work. First we made circles using oil pastels and then we crushed up the paper to add dimension and texture. Finally we used water paint to finish the whole effect.
In Creative and Performing Arts we are doing movement and dance. The children were asked to move their bodies in such a way that they made the first letter of their name.
