Welcome to Term 3 Remote Learning!

We hope everyone had a lovely and relaxing break. 

 

Thank you for all of the feedback about Remote Learning in Term 2.

 

It has been a successful week, with students engaging in daily workshops and seesaw lessons. The feedback from both students and the community has been very positive towards the adjusted Remote Learning program. 

 

Weekly schedule overview

Students will now have 2 check- ins on Monday and Wednesday, with both homeroom teacher and other language teacher. They then have a whole class Story Time at 9 am on Thursday. On Fridays, students will have a well being/ social check-in. 

 

Along with check- ins, students will have a two seesaw activities. One being a Literacy/ Mathematics focus and one being a Play Based focus.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Parent Teacher Interviews are on Thursday 30th July (next week). The interviews will be held via Microsoft Teams.

 

Please make sure that you have booked a time with your child's teacher on Sentral before Monday 27th July.

 

You will an receive an invitation in your email on Tuesday 28th. Once you receive this email, please accept the invitation to notify the teacher that you have received it. 

Mathematics

In English Mathematics, students are focusing on probability. They have explored the likelihood of an event occurring, using the language "will", "won't" and "might" as well as "certain" and "impossible". students are working towards justifying there response as to why an event is certain or impossible. 

 

In Spanish Mathematics, students are working on Length. They compare length of objects using the language of "shorter" and "longer". Students are focusing on correctly measuring objects using informal and formal units. 

Literacy 

In English Reading, students are focusing on predicting. They are using text clues and prior knowledge to make a prediction. 

 

In Spanish Writing, students are working on constructing simple sentences. They are focusing on forming letters correctly, finger spaces, capital letters and full stops.
