Welcome back to remote learning everyone! We hope you all had a restful period over the holidays and did some fun activities together. The 3/4 teachers are so proud of all of the hard work from the students during the last remote learning period. We are also very appreciative of the support students received from parents and carers. We are looking forward to connecting with the students again on our daily Zoom chats.

Once again, we want to remind all students and families that it is ok if you don’t complete all of the learning tasks. Do your best to complete what you can, but don’t stress if you can’t finish some work. We don’t want anyone to feel anxious or stressed out and understand that family time is important too.

The students' work will continue to be sent out each day through Google Classroom in the form of Google Slides. Teachers will go through the slides with their classes during the morning Zoom check-ins, and also post a video explaining the slides again for students to refer to throughout the day. Additional Zoom chats will also be made available throughout the day to offer support. Teachers post the Zoom codes for these check-ins each day on the Google Classroom stream. Encourage your child to access these Zoom chats and reach out to their teachers on Google Classroom if they need any help with their activities for the day.

At the end of each day, students can ‘hand in’ their work to Google Classroom. Students did an excellent job of this during the last remote learning period. Teachers will be able to leave feedback for students on Google Classroom and Seesaw.  Just a reminder that not every piece of work will be commented on.

In Maths this week the students will be beginning to explore Fractions and concepts relating to their addition and subtraction. Mathletics is always an available option for students to complete during the week as well. In Literacy sessions, the students will be creating a recount of their holidays and begin to plan and create their goals for Term 3. Achieving goals will once again look a bit different this term, but we will still work together to help students reach their goals. All of the 3/4 teachers enjoy seeing the photo snapshots of students Offline Choice Board activities. Students can continue to insert this photo onto their daily Google Slides throughout this term. Lastly, on Friday we will be offering some fun and hands-on Indonesian day activities to celebrate Indonesian day this term!

We look forward to another successful remote learning period! Please don’t hesitate to contact your child's teacher through Sentral if you have any questions or need any support.

Have a lovely week!

The 3/4 teachers.
