Hello Everyone,
In the last week we have been challenged with even tougher restrictions. Further job losses and families under immense pressure and stress. At this time it is very difficult to understand our own emotions as adults, let alone begin to understand how our children are being affected or even those in our St James Community. Please be mindful of yourself and others. Take time for mindfulness each day. A walk, a meditation, a cup of tea, drawing, talking to a friend, making a connection. At the moment it is hard to compartmentalise everything that is going on in our lives because most of it is happening in the one place - home!!
Please feel free to read the article below. Also in case you missed it, Smiling Minds has put together a terrific kids care pack which our staff will be referring to over the next few weeks in addition to the Wellbeing lessons they are already running. Both links are below.

Ingredients
- Anyone who would like to contribute
- Your favourite recipe
- Photos and Fun
Preparation
- Gather your favourite ingredients and get yourself in the kitchen! Create your masterpiece and make sure you take 1-2 pictures of yourself and your creation.
- Type your favourite recipe in a word doc or email be sure to include your pictures and send it to Mrs Mac at gmcnamara@stjamesbrighton.catholic.edu.au
- Have fun and enjoy eating your creation. Make sure you clean up after yourself.
- The recipes will be put together in a fabulous cookbook.
- The cookbook will be ready for purchase in Term 4 all proceeds raised will go towards St Vincent De Paul.
Tips
Ask your parents for help in the kitchen, always make sure there is an adult present when preparing and cooking.
