Student Musings

Middle School News

It’s been a quite profound and colourful week in the Middle School office, full of creativity and new insights.

Pete Vlahos was most helpful in providing the vision for the new Office display, created with origami love hearts constructed by our Middle School students during their Reconnect and Engage sessions.

As you can see from the photo, our current Middle School musing is that “the journey of hope begins with one and ends with many”.

So impressed with Mr Vlahos’ poetic insights were we, that we have crowned him our resident ‘Thinking Man.’

With just one more week of this unprecedented Term to go, the Middle School team are delighted with the ease with which our students have settled back into face-to-face school life. It seems odd that they are heading home again so soon but we know that the holidays will be a great chance for everyone (us included) to recharge the batteries and prepare for the semester ahead.

We would like to remind you all that students will be working from home next Tuesday, as teachers write mid-semester reports.

Some student thoughts:

When working from home I spent way too much time staring at my kitten and letting it chew my toes!

Pippa Miles

I actually enjoy seeing all of the teachers and my friends and I am so much more motivated being at school.

Erica Griffin

It is so much easier learning face to face and even having to wear a uniform isn’t as bad as I thought it would be after living in my pyjamas.
