Hello once again from Family Connect,

This month we met via Zoom for what I hope will be the last time; why do you ask because the essence of Family Connect is the opportunity to connect face to face and share the positive engagement between parents, caregivers and leaders of the St Mary’s community.

At our last meeting, Wayne shared the steps underway to re-engage the students of our College and return our children back into a safe, supported educational environment. Yes, every child is different, and this is a journey with every student travelling their own path.  I am confident that the College has the support mechanisms in place for your child/ren, or should it be required, your family, at this time. 

Family Connect will continue to support with assistance where we can.

This weekend, members of our committee will engage with the wider Catholic School Parents Queensland (CSPQ Cairns), representing Parents and Friends Associations across our Diocese at their quarterly meeting.  We will provide feedback at our next meeting In June (Tuesday 16th June from 5:15pm), so please attend if you have an interest in what other committees are doing during this difficult period for many.

This month’s Family Connect meeting will also be the beginning of an engagement period within the College community with more details to follow shortly.  Please continue to stay safe but stay connected.
