Interschool Sport - Current Status

School Sport Victoria advises that some interschool sporting events and competitions have been cancelled and will not run in 2020. These include:

1. ALL Senior team sports (Year 11/12)
2. The following sports for all levels: 

• Australian Football, badminton (secondary only), bowls (secondary only), cross country, hockey, netball and soccer.
• State Championships for swimming is cancelled. The remaining Division and Region Championships may be delivered in Term 4, where possible.

Further advice regarding the status of individual events will be updated on the events page of the SSV website.

Resumption of interschool sport is dependent on advice from the Department of Health and Human Services that it considered safe to do so.

Sports that are still a possibility to compete in during term 3 and 4 are:

1. Basketball – Years 7,8 and Intermdiate
2. Volleyball and Cricket – Years 7 and 8
3. Athletics 
4. Swimming (only to Region level)
