Koorie Representation and Voice-Discussion was held regarding the music played prior to the bell. Music currently being played is to celebrate NAIDOC and Reconciliation week. Bring new song ideas to the next meeting.

 

New Business-

  • Gaga Court Relocation

A huge thank you to Colin, Dave and Graeme as the Gaga court looks absolutely amazing and students have been very busy playing on it since the return to school.

 

  • New Bus

The new bus is fantastic and lives down at the Watsonia campus. The old Lower Primary bus has been relocated to the Bundoora Campus 

 

  • Upper Primary Suggestions
  • A calming room for Upper primary students – wonderful  idea
  • A swing for the Upper primary courtyard – no space sorry
  • A flying fox for the Upper primary courtyard- for camps only
  • A maze for the Upper primary courtyard- no space
  • An Out of Uniform day to support charities relating to Covid- 19
  • A movie club as a lunchtime club- Team leader
  • A trampoline in the Upper primary Courtyard- To be considered. Team leader
  • New iPad covers as they are broken- Team leader
  • Superhero Day-  Possible Out of Uniform idea

 

  • Sec 7/8 Section Suggestions
  • More sand in the Upper primary sand pit- wonderful idea- Colin D to action
  • New drinking taps in Sec 9/10 area- to be considered
  • GaGa tournament for Sec 9/10 students- Team leader
  • New basketball nets- Yes- Colin Daisley
  • Lines in Sec 7/8 section line up area- to be considered
  • Secondary students to have lockable lockers- to be considered
  • Lunchtime club suggestions-Footy/Sport/ Jurassic park/ bubble blowing/Construction/Bird watching/Writing and Illustration
  • Reschedule Sport Day- Team Leader
  • More outside bins- to be considered
  • Swimming pool- no space
  • Ping pong table/ Foosball table- Team leader
  • Automatic hand sanitisers- Leadership team to consider
  • Lock front gate- Colin to follow up

 

  • Sec 9/10 Suggestions
  • Basketball nets to be replaced- Yes
  • Gym equipment-there is gym equipment by the Gaga Court
  • Club ideas- Boxing/Sleepclub- Team leader
  • Celebrate Harmony Day- Great idea
  • New tables and chairs- they are currently too small- New building will have new furniture

 

  • Sec 11/12 Suggestions
  • Automatic hand sanitisers and for Cleaners to use disposable rags and not the same one all of the time- to be considered

 

All ideas will be directed to Team Leaders or to the appropriate staff. An Out of Uniform Day will occur before the end of the year, the charity to be supported will confirmed at a later meeting .Lunch time Club activities are decided within sections.

       

 

  • New Building

There have been many suggestions made by staff and students sent directly to ColinDiscussion was held regarding ideas from students, staff and the community. 

  • Native trees, flowers, Bush fire affected areas, Disney inspired names, Indigenous animals and plants, Melbourne city or towns

 

Leadership will discuss ideas and send out a Survey Monkey to the Concord school community to assist with the naming of the building and the rooms including the Cafe

 

All ideas will be directed to Team Leaders or to the appropriate staff. An Out of Uniform Day will occur before the end of the year, the charity to be supported will confirmed at a later meeting .Lunch time Club activities are decided within sections.

 

Poppy Update

Congratulations to Trish and Poppy on obtaining a training and support grant of  $4350 from Steve Plant at healthAbilty.

 

 

Principal Award-Mark Dell'Anno

 

Mark  has shown a high level of ability to show resilience over the previous six months and displayed a lot of emotional maturity. He has transferred this across to his school tasks and extended himself with tasks he may find challenging. 

 

Mark has extended leadership skills in certain situations within the class, which may have needed an immediate response.
