WEAR IT PURPLE DAY

Wear it purple day is an incredible annual awareness day where we celebrate and enjoy the lives of those a part of the LGBT+ community. It is such an amazing cause and I am beyond thrilled that our school is still able to celebrate this amazing day even in isolation. I hope that many get involved since it is such an important day for those allies or those a part of the community to commemorate those lives in a community way. 

This annual celebration supports and allows us to give a safe environment for those either in the closet or out and proud. Personally I am glad that our school, McKinnon Secondary College, not only demonstrates this but also honours this day by getting everyone involved to either post a picture wearing purple or creating an artwork supporting the LGBT+ community. 

We all need to show our support and this is exactly the way to do it.
