MUSIC NEWS
There has been a lot happening online the last few weeks.
Year 8 students are preparing their final versions of their songs using Soundtrap and we are looking forward to hearing these when they are submitted in the next week or so.
Music Performance and Music Investigation students received their End of Year performance dates, and we wish them great success in the planning and preparation for those performances. It has been terrific to see the calibre of the students grow during the last few weeks. Well done!
GIGS ON THE SCREEN
There has been a great response so far to our Gigs on the Screen, and I thank the students for taking the time to rehearse and record something that they have been working on for the wider community. If you are interested please complete this form.
Please welcome to the stage:
- Ben Jason-Easton of Year 10 performing Corduroy Dreams by Rex Orange County.
- Clancy Brett of Year 11 performing an original entitled Woods.
- Daniel Howe of Year 7 is performing Metallica’s Enter Sandman.
Finally for this fortnight’s newsletter we have;
- Gizelle Sakr of Year 12 performing Billie Eilesh’s When the Party’s Over.
BRASS NIGHT CONTINUES
Ms Videon and Mr Serebriank have been working with ALL the brass students over the last few weeks making a "Virtual Brass Night" submissions.
Here is a second video that Mr Serebriank put together of the McKinnon Year 8 Brass Ensemble playing “Blues Band” by Terry Cathrine at home. These fourteen students filmed themselves at home playing often with their parents working in the next room. These were then compiled into the "zoom" type video grid. Please enjoy!
