Art News

The junior classes are letting their creative juices flow as they continue to develop their self-portraits, focusing this week on their outfits. Students designed and made their clothes out of paper and fabric, inspired by the artwork of author Jeannie Baker who uses collage to create pictures in her books.

Students in the middle school continued with weaving, creating 'cats eyes' and CD weaving, which has been a favourite activity for some, using wool to weave in patterns around sticks. Others enjoyed an alternative activity, making Halloween art.

Our senior students persevered with their sewing projects, continuing to develop their sewing skills, while some opted to create Halloween artworks.
