Term 4 Highlights and Results

Please see below the Grand Final results from the final week of ACC sport for 2022. 

 

The time and work that so many put into ACC sport throughout the year is unbelievable. We are fortunate at St Bede’s that there is so much goodwill to keep ACC sport thriving. 

 

St Bede’s College were the ACC Weekly Sport Aggregate Champions in the Senior and Year 10 levels, as well as a very narrow 2nd place in Year 7 (full results linked below). Add this to the Swimming and Athletics Championships, and the College has had a very successful year in sport. 

 

Mentone

  • Four Premierships and five 'Runners-Up'
  • Four Premierships and three Runners-Up in Years 7 and 8 (out of the nine sports) 
  • Year 7 Cricket winning their Grand Final in the last over, nine wickets down, despite having SEVEN ducks on their scorecard
  • Year 8B Volleyball knocking off powerhouse, Mazenod!

Bentleigh East

On Thursday 17 November, St Bede’s College won the Division 2 ACC Year 8 Tennis Grand Final against Whitefriars, with a final score of 9 sets to 3 (67 games to 39 games).

 

Year 8 Division 2 Tennis – PREMIERS

Coached by Fotios Koutsogiannopoulos, the Grand Final team consisted of the following Year 7 and 8 players:

  5. Ronan Raulings
  6. Blake Schiffner
  7. Anthony Gallardo
  8. Robin Chen

Emergencies: Henry Przychodzen, Samuel Emmerson, James Cheng, Alexander Kristan

All team members (including the emergencies) played during the preliminary rounds and represented the College superbly, with each player demonstrating tenacity, courage and respect.
