Year 8 Camp

Thanks to our Covid lockdowns, it had been a long 14 months since this particular group of Bentleigh East students had visited Philip Island - a lot has changed since then! 

The very first camps of 2022 were completed in Week 4 and 5 of Term 4, with the group eagerly awaiting sun, and to see Mr Strom and Mr Nesci. 

The time away as a class was fantastic for all, and included adventures at the climbing gym, amazing surfing days, epic walks along the beaches, a visit to the Vietnam War Museum and bonding over bowling. A special mention also to the 8.3 students who joined Ms Urquhart for a run around Philip Island!

A very big thank you to Mr Strom and Mr Nesci for the planning, organising, cooking and humour throughout the camps, and to all of our teachers and support staff that accompanied the group; Mr Fotios Koutsogiannopoulos, Mr Dominic Beale, Mr Philip Thomas, Ms Rosalin Patti, Mr Sean De Amicis, Ms Jo Davies and Ms Angela McLean. 

We look forward to next year’s adventures.
