Resource Centre

Mentone

Seasons’ Greetings from the Resource Centre to our Staff and Students. Another unforgettable year for many reasons. We have learned a great deal about versatility, resilience, creativity and resolve from the last two years, all of which carried through to 2023.

A special mention of our Year 12 cohort.  Their journey with St Bede’s may stop here, but above all, it is the beginning of new heights and opportunities for them. We wish them success, happiness and God’s blessings.

For those families ending their journey with St Bede’s we thank you for letting us get to know your children and may God bless their future endeavours.

We also farewell the Library’s AFL trainee Cassidi Dent. Cassidi has spent the year assisting staff and students in the Resource Centre, we wish her well in the future.

We celebrate the great learning which has taken place this year. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a wonderful summer and look forward to welcoming you back to a freshly refurbished Library.

Remain inquisitive readers over the Christmas break, we look forward to your recommendations!

Bentleigh East

The highlight of the year for the St Bede’s Bentleigh East Resource Centre has been the way the Year 7’s embraced the Reading Competition.

The four Year 7 classes competed against each other to see which class could achieve the highest number of students reading 4 books or more. There could only be one winner though and that was 7.3. Congratulations to the class of 7.3 for their outstanding efforts!

The four students who read the most books in Year 7 received certificates to celebrate their achievements. The certificates were presented by Principal, Ms Deb Frizza, at the Bentleigh East Campus assembly on 27 October.

The four students - pictured from left to right -  are Noah Heredia (7.3), Linus Hupfeld (7.3) Levi Hanson (7.3) and Louis Liu (7.4).

It was a fantastic effort by all four students. Congratulations!
